SANTA YNEZ VALLEY VISITORS
ASSOCIATION General Information
WHO
The Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association (SYVVA) is a non-profit organization
representing the business community from throughout the
valley for the purpose of marketing the Santa Ynez Valley as a destination.
WHAT
The SYVVA markets our entire valley as a destination offering
diverse communities and activities to visit, stay and enjoy.
The Association is not intended to replace the efforts already taking
place by organizations representing the individual communities making up
the valley, but to enhance their effort through a focus on a valley-wide
effort under the Santa Ynez Valley name.
Funding for the Association's marketing and advertising efforts comes
from a grant awarded by the county's Economic Development Advisory
Council as well as from Association membership dues and fundraisers. Additional
marketing and advertising opportunities are funded as special projects from
within the Association's membership.
WHEN
The association's Board of Directors meets six times a year - February,
April, June, August, October and December - and on an as-needed basis. In
addition, there are four General Meetings held in January, March, July, and
September and two Membership Mixers that are normally held in May and
November. All Board meetings and General Meetings are held in the morning
the first Wednesday of the month. The General Membership is encouraged to
attend the General Meetings and Mixers and are welcome to attend all Board
of Directors meetings.
HOW
How can you get involved? You can become a member of the Santa Ynez Valley
Visitors Association. Simply fill out the application on the back of this
brochure. As a member, there are many ways to participate, including serving
on several committees as well as taking advantage of the advertising and
promotional opportunities provided by the Association. Join our organization
today and reap the benefits of membership!

$240 annual dues
($120 for non-profits)

- Opportunity to participate in Association's co-op travel and trade shows.
- Participate in monthly co-op bulk mailings sent to inquires generated by Association's advertising.
- Receive referrals through our 800 number, emails and regular mail inquiries
Note: A fee of $50 applies for another listing and website link for each additional business owned by General Member. (Must be at the same location. Example: hotel with restaurant on premises.) $150 fee for each additional business owned by General Member (located on separate property).
